The National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) suspended the sale, distribution and use of batch P0019875 of the drug Aldomet 250 mg after identifying a quality deviation considered "critical" in the product packaging process.
The measure involves the presentation "REV CT BL AL PLAS TRANS X30" of the medicine, used in the treatment and control of blood pressure.
The recall was voluntarily communicated by the manufacturer Aspen Pharma. The measure was published this Monday (25) in the Official Gazette of the Union, according to the Anvisa statement.

According to the company, there was an error during the packaging stage, in which blisters of the 250 mg version were mistakenly inserted into cartridges identified as being of the 500 mg presentation.
According to Anvisa, the failure could compromise the correct administration of the prescribed dosage to patients, which led to the immediate suspension of marketing and use of the affected batch.
The guidance is for consumers, pharmacies and health services to check the batch number and stop using the medicine if the product is among those affected by the measure.
