Isis Valverde reveals three hospitalizations this year due to illness: "Aggressive"

Isis Valverde opened up on social media about the consequences of celiac disease. The 39-year-old actress said she was hospitalized three times this year because of her severe gluten intolerance.

"This part is traumatic, I discovered it when I was 19 years old, and my celiac disease is very aggressive to the point that if I come into contact with an oil that fried gluten and I ate it, I will feel very ill. At the beginning of the year, when I was working, I was hospitalized three times", she said.

On Instagram she stated that she did not initially identify the cause of the discomfort because she did not know that the food consumed was contaminated.

Other complications, according to the Mayo Clinic, can be malnutrition, bone weakening, infertility and miscarriage, lactose intolerance, cancer and nervous system conditions.
