Corinthians awaits answers and sees Memphis mobilized to stay

Corinthians continues to contact companies to reach an agreement to renew striker Memphis Depay. The club presented projects and is awaiting responses to continue with the plan to remain with the number 10, who also participates in conversations and seeks partners for the club.

Itatiaia found that Corinthians is in contact with around six companies to discuss a new contract for Memphis. The current one is only valid until June 20th.

Club sources reported that, even though president Osmar Stabile says that Corinthians does not intend to pay any amount for Memphis in the new agreement, this scenario is unlikely.

After the 1-0 victory over Atlético-MG, last Sunday (24), coach Fernando Diniz reinforced his desire to continue working with Memphis.

"Our signal (for staying) is positive. There is a desire from the club, from Marcelo (Paz, football director), from the president; everyone has the desire for Memphis to stay. I hope this comes to fruition. He is a player who can help Corinthians a lot, he still has a different quality. It was great for him to return; he prepared and dedicated himself. Ezze Seguros in play?
Ezze Seguros, the club's sponsor, approached Memphis Depay in recent weeks. The company is one of those listed to help renew the number 10 shirt, but to do so, it will also need to extend its relationship with Corinthians.

Ezze, which appears on the upper back hem of the men's team's uniform, has a contract with Corinthians only until June 30th.

If conversations progress, the idea is that Memphis will become a kind of poster boy for the brand, as "Meu Timão" anticipated.

Memphis returns after two months
Forward Memphis Depay returned to the pitch after two months of absence. The number 10 entered the second half of Corinthians' victory against Galo, this Sunday, at Neo Química Arena, in the 17th round of the Brazilian Championship.
