How teams of great artists avoid harassment from fans and leaks
When a musician, dancer or businessman works with a famous artist, they have to be extra careful about what they post on social media (yes, even on their personal profiles). After all, no one is unscathed from the watchful eye of the passionate fan club, which doesn't let anything go by.
"When you join the team, somehow the fans find out, they start following you and often even send you a message to ask for a favor. And then, you have the good sense to be smart about it", said a musician heard by g1.
The bigger the artist, the greater the concern about leaks and security issues. Therefore, today, part of an employee's "welcome" to an artist's team includes guiding them, informally or even formally, on how to conduct this relationship.
In some cases, teams even receive a manual of good practices, which includes guidelines on posting.
To g1, employees of major artists revealed the main guidelines and "rules" to prevent leaks and ensure everyone's safety. See below:

During tours, it's normal to want to record the cities the team passes through. But you have to take into consideration the artist's safety and, sometimes, even your own.
This is because many artists have a group of well-known dancers and bands... and if fans can't find their idols, they keep an eye on the teams' whereabouts. Therefore, the main guideline is to post after leaving the site.
g1 had access to the manual received by an employee of a major artist. The document states that it is not permitted to post in real time:
photos at airports and hotels (only after leaving the location);
backstage photos with the artist without their approval;
records that show the surroundings, even in leisure moments.
In addition, it is prohibited to wear team clothing during trips or personal commitments.
Another interviewee said that there is no ban on going out in team clothing. But there is a common practice: when leaving after the show, the team wears their t-shirts inside out, as the clothes usually have the name of the artist and the tour on them. This way, they avoid being identified and approached.

Registering is frowned upon
When you're behind the scenes of a recording or rehearsal, the main concern becomes avoiding leaks. Of course, the level of care depends on the size of the artist and the project. But the ideal is to be more "low profile".
Even when there is nothing written in stone or agreed in a contract, it depends on the team's common sense - after all, leaking sensitive information can put your work at risk. Is the post worth that much?
An interviewee told g1 that records are not usually viewed favorably. "If you ever lift your cell phone to take a photo or record a video during a rehearsal, for example, everyone is already looking at you. Like 'put that cell phone down, nothing to see'. Even if nothing happens, everyone is already mad."

'Hide everything until the day of the show'
In the case of those who participate in rehearsals and clips, there is great care to ensure that no information leak prematurely. This means:
not posting recordings of rehearsals that could reveal the stage structure;
not making videos that show the choreography;
do not post videos with sound, which could "leak" new songs or arrangements;
do not post any material (images or costumes) related to clips;
do not reveal costumes before the start of tours.
"Usually, in a rehearsal closer to the date, this is when they show what the stage, lighting, sound, that kind of thing will be like. And then, before all the things go through, someone from the production or technical direction arrives and says: 'I would like to ask, please, so that no one takes a photo or video of anything'. It's not a threat, but it's a request", joked one interviewee.

"Basically, hide everything until the day of the show."
