The rapporteur of the proposal on the end of the 6×1 journey, deputy Leo Prates (Republicanos-BA), rejected this Friday (22) including in his opinion a ten-year transition rule. The period is defended by representatives of the economic sector and members of the opposition.
"I guarantee: I will not put my signature on a ten-year transition. [...] I will not enter this ten-year boat. I would rather resign from this rapporteurship than sign for ten years", said Prates, at the last state seminar to debate the proposal, held in Manaus (AM).
Prates' opinion should be presented on Monday (25). The release of the report was scheduled for this week, but was postponed after the lack of agreement on a transition rule from the current 44 hours per week to 40 hours, without a salary reduction.

Super Sete steering wheelsG1See below the numbers drawn from the columns in contest 852 of Super Sete held this Wednes...Businesspeople and parliamentarians linked to the productive sector defend an extended rule. The government prefers an immediate reduction, but admits negotiating for a two-year transition.
The ten-year transition appears in the two amendments suggested to the PEC. One of the amendments, however, was withdrawn after central parties retreated due to negative repercussions. Currently, the rapporteur is negotiating a transition between two and five years.
As CNN showed, the topic must be discussed in a meeting between the president of the Chamber, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), and President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). Although the government resists the transition, negotiations are scheduled for a period of two years to implement the new working hours.

The rapporteur's expectation is to vote on the text next week in the special committee and in the plenary. He states, however, that the scenario is not "pleasant" and highlights the need for 308 votes for approval in the plenary, in two rounds.
