Zendaya, 29, will play the goddess Athena in the feature film "The Odyssey", directed by Christopher Nolan. The filmmaker recently praised the actress for her versatility in roles and her ability to dedicate herself, despite other work commitments. He called her "perfect" and actor Matt Damon confessed that both he and Zendaya's partner, Tom Holland, felt envious of the statements.
Matt Damon, who plays Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, couldn't help but agree. "There were takes where she would do one thing, do this amazing scene, and he would say, 'Cut.' And then he would say, 'Perfect.' And literally, Tom [Holland] and I were obsessed with it," Damon recalled.
Zendaya has just finished recording the third season of the series "Euphoria", in which she plays the protagonist Rue. In addition to Nola's film, the actress is also cast in "Spider-Man: A New Day" and "Dune: Part Three", which will be released later this year.
