Gilmar requests review and suspends trial regarding arrest of Vorcaro's father

Minister Gilmar Mendes, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), requested a review and suspended this Friday (22) the referendum trial on the preventive detention of Henrique Vorcaro, father of the owner of Banco Master, Daniel Vorcaro.

Henrique and six others investigated in the bank's financial fraud case were arrested on the 14th, in another phase of Operation Compliance Zero. Minister André Mendonça, who is the rapporteur of the case, was the first and only one to speak out. He voted to uphold his own decision.

The targets were members of the groups "A Turma" and "Os Boys", a structure made up of people with a "hacker profile" and focused on threats and obtaining confidential data.

Suspicion is a legal instrument in which judges refrain from participating in a trial due to doubts about their impartiality due to ties such as friendship with the parties, interest in the case, among others.

Who is Daniel Vorcaro's father
Arrested on May 14 in Belo Horizonte, Henrique Vorcaro, father of the owner of the extinct Banco Master, Daniel Vorcaro, is identified by the Federal Police investigation as one of the beneficiaries of his son, who even deposited funds into his father's bank account.

The arrest was authorized by the STF (Supreme Federal Court) and is part of a new phase of Operation Compliance Zero.

According to his Linkedin profile, Henrique Vorcaro is the CEO of Grupo Multipar, which is being investigated by the PF on suspicion of maintaining financial activity involving Banco Master.
