The Bahia Road Workers Union confirmed the end of the strike on public transport in Salvador this Friday (22) after approval of a proposal from the TRT-5 (Regional Labor Court of the 5th Region). The strike had been confirmed after a round of negotiations without agreement between bus workers and businesspeople in the sector.

During the assembly, workers unanimously approved the reformed proposal and guaranteed the points that had been demanded for almost 60 days. The points approved in the agreement at the meeting were:

- Salary adjustment of 4.11%
- Adjustment of 4.11% in the food ticket
- Optional overtime on weekends
- Reduction of telemetry to 1 BIP
- Women not staying overnight
- Creation of a working group between Integra, Union and SEMOB to discuss time cards
- 10% exemption on the health plan
- Implementation of electronic point within 90 days at OT-Trans
- Coffee break now lasts 30 minutes

"It is a major step forward in reducing our excessive working hours, in improving working conditions with the reduction of telemetry BIP and, above all, comrades, in maintaining our rights, won with a lot of struggle, blood and sweat", said Helio Ferreira, president of the union.

On social media, the union celebrated the agreement, saying that they showed the strength and value of road workers, as well as their success in demanding their rights.

They also clarified that the absence of a minimum fleet circulating on the streets, which had been established by the TRT-BA, was not the responsibility of the union.

According to the union, workers were ready to carry out their activities normally. "The responsibility for the lack of minimum operation lies exclusively with the employer sector, which did not organize itself to guarantee the operation of the fleet, even in light of the determinations discussed during the conciliation process" they stated in a publication on the networks.
