Seven out of ten Brazilians believe that the Brazilian team will not win this year's World Cup, according to a survey by AtlasIntel, one of the select research companies awarded a diamond from The New York Times due to the reliability and accuracy of previous research in the United States.

Ygor Sampaio, head of intelligence, brands and consumer habits at AtlasIntel, explained the feeling of Brazilian fans in believing in the sixth championship despite being far from favoritism.

On CNN Esportes S/A this Sunday (24), Ygor summarized the 29.7% of fans who believe in Canarinho's title as "the Brazilian's hope in the Seleção".

It's a vote of hope. This represents the Brazilian's hope in the Brazilian team. I think that if we were, in recent years, if we were to ask people what their expectations were in relation to the Brazilian team, this number would be much higher. We lose emotion over time and what we have left is hope. It's the faithful fan who still believes in the Brazilian team, who believes in the renovation work that Ancelotti has been doing. So I think this indicator is much stronger than Brazilians still believe. It's still not a reliable number, it's not that significant.

France is named by Brazilians as the main favorite for the 2026 World Cup title, according to the survey. The survey, carried out with 964 participants, indicates that 35.8% believe that the current world runner-up will lift the cup in the next edition of the tournament.
