Asian stock markets close higher amid negotiations between the US and Iran

Asian stock markets closed higher this Friday (22), while investors continued to monitor diplomatic efforts towards a peace agreement between the United States and Iran.

Leading gains in the region, the Japanese Nikkei index rose 2.68% in Tokyo, to 63,339.07 points, driven by technology and electronics stocks.

Elsewhere in Asia, South Korea's Kospi rose 0.41% in Seoul to 7,847.71 points, while the Hang Seng gained 0.86% in Hong Kong to 25,606.03 points and the Taiex rose 2.17% in Taiwan to 42,267.97 points.
