MRV modernizes facades inspired by the six Brazilian biomes

MRV, the largest construction company in Latin America, announced the modernization of the facades and landscaping of its new residential developments throughout Brazil. The change, coordinated by MRV&CO's Products and Projects Directorate, was guided by a national survey with customers and resulted in an architectural concept inspired by the country's six biomes: Atlantic Forest, Cerrado, Pantanal, Pampa, Amazon and Caatinga.

The project seeks to align aesthetics, functionality, durability and rational use of materials, according to the construction company. The proposal responds to a transformation in the real estate market, in which the home is now understood as a set that includes common areas, living spaces and the visual identity of the project - and not just the apartment itself.

What motivated the change
According to the company's internal data, MRV's audience is mostly made up of people between 18 and 30 years old, who are looking for two-bedroom apartments with a balcony, a parking space, collective leisure and contact with nature.

The project for the new facades was born from the observation of consumer behavior and active listening to residents.

The Consumer Experience Survey 2024, by JLL Research, reinforces this movement by pointing out that 84% of Millennials and Generation Z believe that cities need to offer new experiences to remain relevant.

Currently, more than 1.6 million people live in properties built by MRV. The modernization of the facades was guided by a national survey with customers, with the aim of translating aesthetic preferences, functional needs and demands for durability and affordable cost.

How the concept inspired by biomes works
The new architectural pattern translates into color palettes inspired by local nature, rational use of materials and integration between buildings, leisure areas and landscaping. Native plant species adapted to each region were incorporated into the project, with benefits that go beyond aesthetics: the adoption of vegetation compatible with the local climate reduces maintenance costs.

In practice, the project includes:

- Entrances with more efficient guardhouses and functional circulation
- Porticos that enhance the entrance to the condominium
- Walls, railings and external gardens with contemporary architectural solutions
- Leisure areas and garage buildings harmonized with the whole
- Living spaces planned as an extension of the apartment

Facades without cost increase
According to the company, the improvements were developed with a focus on construction efficiency and intelligent standardization of architectural solutions, allowing the visual standard to be updated at no additional cost to the customer.

Flávio Paulino de Andrade e Silva, director of Products and Projects at MRV, states that the project was structured to combine architectural identity, construction efficiency and sustainability.

"The project represents an evolution that reflects our commitment to quality, the customer and sustainability. There are more than 1.6 million people who live in a property built by MRV. Nothing fairer than listening to these people and bringing elements that reflect their origins, their desires and their realities. All of this without our customers having to pay any extra for it", he adds.

Also according to the executive, the result achieved is the result of the work of a multidisciplinary team of architects and engineers, who worked with a focus on an integrated management model, innovation, technical excellence and the generation of sustainable value.

Where the new standard has already been applied
In the second half of 2025, 37 projects were launched with the new visual standard, starting with Campinas (SP) and Belo Horizonte (MG).

The implementation will be national, with adaptations to the regional characteristics of each location.
