Singer discovered her ex's affair and cancer in the same week: "Mourning and anger"

Singer Sheryl Crow, 64, revealed in an interview released this Thursday (21) that she had to deal with the end of her relationship and a cancer diagnosis in the same week. In an interview with BobbyCast, from The Bobby Bones Show, the artist spoke openly about her breast cancer treatment and how she dealt with a heartache.

In 2006, she was engaged to Lance Armstrong, 54. However, the two broke up when the singer discovered her ex-fiancé's alleged involvement with a famous actress. Even without knowing details about this involvement, the relationship ended after two years.

That same week, she was diagnosed with cancer. "I was engaged. I had three beautiful stepchildren. I wanted to have children with this person. We separated. The same week we separated, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and found out that he was seeing a very famous actress," she said.

According to the artist, she underwent 9 months of radiotherapy. "Period of mourning and anger," she described.

"My life had to come to a screeching halt for me to get to a point where I asked myself, 'Okay, who am I? And why am I doing what I'm doing? Do I love what I'm doing? What should I be doing?'"

Crow went on to say that people's judgment made the moment more difficult: "When I was diagnosed and my relationship ended, people were camped outside trying to take a picture of Sheryl Crow at her most difficult time. I just lost all faith in humanity."
