Gisele case: Justice schedules hearings and interrogation of lieutenant colonel

The São Paulo Court has scheduled the hearings and interrogation of lieutenant colonel Geraldo Leite Rosa Neto, defendant in the case of the death of military police officer Gisele Alves Santana, aged 32.

According to the decision of the 5th Jury Court of the Central Criminal Court of São Paulo, the witness hearings were scheduled between June 29th and July 2nd. The interrogation of the accused is scheduled for July 3, at 10 am. See the dates:

- June 29th - statements from delegates, criminal experts, military police officers and witnesses in the case;
- June 30th - hearings from witnesses, military police officers, protected witnesses and people linked to the investigation;
- July 1st - hearing with the victim's family, including a special statement from Gisele's daughter, as well as other witnesses;
- July 2nd - statements from military police officers, corporation officers and other witnesses;
- July 3rd - interrogation of the defendant lieutenant colonel in the case.

According to the complaint offered by the Public Ministry, the crime occurred on February 18, 2026, in the couple's apartment, in the Brás neighborhood. After an argument motivated by the victim's decision to separate, the lieutenant colonel allegedly shot his wife in the head.

The investigation also shows that the officer tried to simulate a suicide, manipulating the crime scene. According to the MP (Public Prosecutor's Office), he placed the weapon in the victim's hand and altered elements of the scene to induce an error in the investigation of the facts.

Expert reports also indicate inconsistencies in the version presented by the defense. There is a record of blood on the accused's clothes, as well as evidence that he had taken a shower after the crime to eliminate traces.

For the MP, the murder was committed for a base reason, linked to the feeling of possession and the accused's refusal to accept the end of the relationship. The complaint also points out that the victim was surprised, with no chance of defense, which worsens the crime.
