The Pilgrim's Progress from This World, to That Which Is to Come is a 1678 Christian allegory written by the English nonconformist preacher John

Bunyan. It is commonly regarded as one of the most significant works of Protestant devotional literature and of wider early modern English literature. It has been translated into more than 200 languages and has never been out of print. It appeared in Dutch in 1681, in German in 1703 and in Swedish in 1727. The first North American edition was issued in 1681. It has also been cited as the first novel written in English. According to literary editor Robert McCrum, "there's no book in English, apart from the Bible, to equal Bunyan's masterpiece for the range of its readership, or its influence on writers as diverse as William Hogarth, C. S. Lewis, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Herman Melville, Charles Dickens, Louisa May Alcott, George Bernard Shaw, William Thackeray, Charlotte Brontë, Mark Twain, John Steinbeck and Enid Blyton." The lyrics of the hymn "To be a Pilgrim" are based on the novel. Forest Lawn Memorial Park - Hollywood Hills é um dos seis Forest Lawn Memorial-Parks & Mortuaries cemitérios do Sul da Califórnia. [Verso 1] G Some days the rain wont quit falling, Em Some nights the silence gets loud. C Ive chased a few broken sunsets, D Ive stood where hope wasnt found. G Ive worn holes through these old boots, Em Trying to outrun my fears. C Funny how the longest roads D Teach you why youre here. [Refrão] G Life aint always easy, Em It dont always go your way. C The flowers need the hard rain, D The dawn comes after gray. G Every crack lets in some light, Em Every goodbye shapes the day. C It aint always pretty D G But its beautiful anyway. [Verso 2] G Ive seen old men on front porches Em Smile through stories full of pain. C Like they learned somewhere along the line D You cant stop every rain. G The good days never stay forever, Em Neither do the bad. C Maybe thats the reason why D The little things hit back. [Ponte] Em Theres magic in the mess somehow, C Mercy in the miles. G The world keeps turning slowly, D Healing hearts one sunrise. [Refrão] G Life aint always easy, Em Sometimes its hard to understand. C But every winding backroad D Still leads us somewhere grand. G So Ill thank the highs and heartache, Em For making me this way. C It aint always easy D G But its beautiful anyway. Outro: Em Heres to all the broken pieces, C They somehow made me whole. G Maybe thats what living is- D G Finding beauty on the road.
