I don’t know if this arrangement is perfect to the record, but I play a
solo acoustic version of this song and this is how I do it and like
the way it sounds, so I figured I’d put it up here in case someone else
would like to play it this way
I play A9 as 007600 (E A A C# B E) you could play it the more standard
002200 (E A E A B E) but getting that 3rd in there really gives direction
to the harmony movement so I’d recommend playing it as I do
Bsus4 I play as 024400 (E B F# B B E), I usually try to target the 5th string
when I play the A9 and Bsus4 and don’t have much issue with that low E
muddying up the chords, you can always mute that 6th string on those if you want
On the chorus sometimes I’ll move from AMaj7 to A9 as a change of pace,
other times I’ll just go no chord with some ghost strums, depends on what
I’m feeling, but I left them in the arrangement in case you want to experiment with that
