verse 1 A7sus D G/B A O church, arise and put your armor on; D G Asus D Hear the call of Christ our captain; A7sus D G/B A For now the weak can say that they are strong D G Asus D In the strength that God has given. G D A With shield of faith and belt of truth D G D Bm A We'll stand against the devil's lies; A7sus D G/B A An army bold whose battle cry is "Love!" D G Asus D Reaching out to those in darkness. verse 2 A7sus D G/B A Our call to war, to love the captive soul, D G Asus D But to rage against the captor; A7sus D G/B A And with the sword that makes the wounded whole D G Asus D We will fight with faith and valor. G D A When faced with trials on ev'ry side, D G D Bm A We know the outcome is secure, A7sus D G/B A And Christ will have the prize for which He diedâ?? D G Asus D An inheritance of nations. verse 3 A7sus D G/B A Come, see the cross where love and mercy meet, D G Asus D As the Son of God is stricken; A7sus D G/B A Then see His foes lie crushed beneath His feet, D G Asus D For the Conqueror has risen! G D A And as the stone is rolled away, D G D Bm A And Christ emerges from the grave, A7sus D G/B A This vict'ry march continues till the day D G Asus D Ev'ry eye and heart shall see Him. verse 4 A7sus D G/B A So Spirit, come, put strength in ev'ry stride, D G Asus D Give grace for ev'ry hurdle, A7sus D G/B A That we may run with faith to win the prize D G Asus D Of a servant good and faithful. G D A As saints of old still line the way, D G D Bm A Retelling triumphs of His grace, A7sus D G/B A We hear their calls and hunger for the day D G Asus D WHen with Christ we stand in glory
