Primeiro acorde: A
To Bombay
A travelling circus came
They brought an intelligent elephant
And Nellie was her name
One dark night
She slipped her iron chain
And off she ran to Hindustan
And was never seen again
Whoa (NOTE: this accompanies an upswing in tempo)
[CHORUS]
Nellie the elephant
Packed her trunk
And said goodbye to the circus
Off she ran
With a tropply trop, trop trop trop
Now Nellie the elephant
Packer her trunk
And trumbled off to the jungle
Off she ran
With a tropply trop, trop trop trop
Night by night
She danced to the circus band
When Nellie led the big parade
She looked so proud and grand
No more tricks
For Nellie to perform
They taught her how to take a bow
And she took the crowd by storm
Whoa
[CHORUS]
And everyone heard the story
Far far away
And then one night in silver light
They're off to Mandolay
[Not sure about the above section]
Whoa
[CHORUS]
Go to (Toledo?)
[CHORUS]
That's it. I got these from the Toy Dolls' version, I believe. I recorded
it from Dr. Demento four or five years ago (maybe more). If anyone knows the
messed up parts, please correct me.
