Joan Chandos Baez é uma cantora norte-americana de música folk, conhecida por seu estilo vocal distinto e opiniões políticas apresentadas abertamente. Antônio Carlos Brasileiro de Almeida "Tom" Jobim foi um compositor, pianista, violonista, arranjador e cantor brasileiro. Considerado um dos grandes expoentes da música brasileira, Jobim internacionalizou a bossa nova e, com a ajuda de importantes artistas estadunidenses, fundiu-a com o jazz nos anos 1960 para criar uma nova sonoridade, de sucesso popular.
