The Parent Trap is a 1998 American family romantic comedy film directed by Nancy Meyers, in her feature directorial debut, and produced by

Meyers' then-husband Charles Shyer. It stars Lindsay Lohan in her film debut in a dual role of identical twins who have been separated at birth and, upon meeting by chance at summer camp, decide to work together to reunite their divorced parents, played by Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson. The Parent Trap is a remake of the 1961 film of the same name and an adaptation of Erich Kästner's 1949 German children's novel, Lisa and Lottie. David Swift, who wrote and directed the original 1961 film, is credited, along with Meyers and Shyer, as co-writers of the 1998 film. Dakota ou Dacota pode referir-se a:

[Verso 1] G We used to run through open fields D Chasing dreams that felt so real Em Laughing loud without a care C Certain life would keep us there G Summer days would never end D Every stranger was a friend Em The future seemed so far away C Now we're living in those days [Pré-Refrão] Em The years keep turning like the pages C Time keeps carrying us through the ages G Nothing stays the way it was D But we're becoming who we are [Refrão] G We're getting older, day by day D Watching childhood fade away Em Trading yesterday for something new C Learning what we're meant to do G The stars still shine like they did then D But we see them differently again Em Though the years keep resting on our shoulders C G We're still young hearts getting older [Verso 2] G Pictures scattered through the room D Bring back moments gone too soon Em Some have stayed and some have gone C But the memories carry on G We've made mistakes, we've learned to grow D Found some things we'll never know Em Yet through every winding road C We've carried pieces of our home [Refrão] G We're getting older, day by day D Watching childhood fade away Em Trading yesterday for something new C Learning what we're meant to do G The stars still shine like they did then D But we see them differently again Em Though the years keep resting on our shoulders C G We're still young hearts getting older [Ponte] Em One day we'll look back and smile C At every dream and every mile G And thank the days that came before D For making us who we are now [Refrão] G We're getting older, year by year D Finding strength through hope and fear Em Holding on to moments we can't hold C Knowing some things never grow old G The stars still shine like they did then D Guiding us home again and again Em Though the world keeps changing all around us slower C G We're still young hearts getting older Outro: G We're getting older... D But we're still dreaming Em Still believing C G Still young hearts getting older Chord Shapes:
