Steve Perry, nascido Stephen Ray Perry, é um cantor e compositor luso-estadunidense, mais conhecido por ter sido vocalista da banda Journey de

1977 até 1987 e também de 1995 até 1998. Let Go é o álbum de estreia da artista musical canadense Avril Lavigne, lançado em 4 de junho de 2002 pela Arista Records. O projeto, que inicialmente se intitularia Anything but Ordinary, teve suas sessões de gravação iniciadas em maio de 2001 e concluídas em janeiro de 2002. Durante o processo criativo, Lavigne, apesar de possuir um histórico musical, encontrava-se com dificuldade para definir um som para si e desejava também escrever seu próprio material em vez de gravar canções de outros compositores. Muitas das primeiras tentativas de colaboração da cantora com profissionais da área resultaram improdutivas, exceto as com Clif Magness. Por não aprovar a direção sonora de Magness, a Arista reuniu Lavigne com a equipe de produção The Matrix, e o alinhamento do registro foi finalmente completado.
