Be Still My Soul

verse 1: F Bb C F Be still, my soul--the Lord is on your side! Bb C F Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain; Gm Dm Leave to thy God to order and provide-- Bb C F In every change he faithful will remain. Gm Dm F Be still, my soul--thy best, thy heavenly Friend Bb F Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end. verse 2: F Bb C F Be still, my soul--thy God doth undertake Bb C F To guide the future as He has the past; Gm Dm Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake-- Bb F All now mysterious shall be bright at last. Gm Dm F Be still, my soul--the waves and winds still know Bb F His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below. verse 3: F Bb C F Be still, my soul--the hour is hastening on Bb C F When we shall be forever with the Lord, Gm Dm When disappointment, grief, and fear are gone, Bb C F Sorrow forgot, love's purest joys restored. Gm Dm F Be still, my soul--when change and tears are past, Bb C F All safe and blessed we shall meet at last.
