status Official). Hep Stars foi um grupo sueco de rock formado em 1963. Foi um dos grupos pop mais populares dos anos 60 na Suécia. Depois do primeiro single, Kana Kapila (1964), o tecladista original, Hans Östlund, deixou o grupo e foi substituído por Benny Andersson, que mais tarde tornou-se integrante do ABBA. Entre os outros membros do grupo estavam Svenne Hedlund nos vocais, Janne Frisk como guitarrista, Christer Pettersson como baterista e Lelle Hegland como baixista. No final dos anos 60 a esposa de Svenne Hedlund, a cantora Charlotte "Lotta" Walker, juntou-se ao grupo. ABBA é um grupo sueco de música pop formado em Estocolmo em 1972 por Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, e Anni-Frid Lyngstad. O nome do grupo é um acrônimo formado pelas iniciais do primeiro nome de cada membro. Tornaram-se um dos grupos de maior sucesso comercial na história da música, liderando as paradas mundiais de 1974 a 1982. Os ABBA venceram o Eurovision Song Contest 1974 no The Dome, em Brighton, Reino Unido, dando à Suécia seu primeiro triunfo no concurso. É o grupo de maior sucesso que participou da competição.
