Rush é uma banda canadense de rock formada em agosto de 1968 na cidade de Toronto, Ontário. A formação original da banda incluía o guitarrista Alex Lifeson, o baterista John Rutsey e o baixista e vocalista Jeff Jones, que foi substituído por Geddy Lee pouco depois de sua formação. O Rush passou por algumas mudanças de formação nos seis anos seguintes, antes de chegar à sua formação clássica de power trio com a adição de Neil Peart em julho de 1974, substituindo Rutsey quatro meses após o lançamento de seu álbum de estreia homônimo. A formação de Lifeson, Lee e Peart permaneceu estável durante o restante da trajetória inicial da banda até 2015, após o qual Peart se aposentou da música. Lifeson confirmou posteriormente, em 2018, que a banda havia se dissolvido, citando a saúde de Peart como um fator contribuinte. Lifeson e Lee continuaram a trabalhar juntos ocasionalmente nos anos seguintes à morte de Peart em 2020.
