In 6/8th time but not a constant speed. In general every chorus is faster than the one before while the verses get a bit slower. There are some rhythmic shenanigans going on in the chorus around the move to the tritonus, essentially the song sneaks in an extra three 8ths so you end up on the one again on the last G, counter to the straight rhyme scheme. If you danced a waltz straight through you'd end up on the wrong foot going into the next verse.

Also interesting to note is that the melody kind of gets out of step with the harmony. Both go from the dominant to the sixth via the tritonus, but the harmony takes an extra step via the A major, and at the end the melody doesn't follow the harmony "home" to the G, but stays on the dominant C.
