When We Feed the Hungry

C G F G This G-d in whose image we're created and whom we serve C G F G And Whom we're called to follow, and Whose love we don't deserve... Am Em Am Em He calls us His children when we follow His command C F G C To go and preach His Gospel all across this sin-sick land. C G F G We preach Him through our words, but even louder by our deeds, C G F G When we as Christians minister, providing for others' needs. Am Em Am Em We are the hands and feet of Him Who died upon the Cross; C F G C We are the face of Jesus to the sin-sick and the lost. C G F G When we feed the hungry and give drink to them who thirst C G F G And give shelter to the homeless and we treat the least as first, Am Em Am Em The Messiah will receive all the glory C F G C Every time one more Believer lives His ministry. C G F G We’re told all through the Gospels in Whose footsteps we should walk C G F G The footsteps of a living God Whose actions matched His talk Am Em Am Em He said the greatest of all laws was “Love the Lord thy G-d.” C F G C If we love our neighbor likewise, we’ll see His approving nod. C G F G The prophet Isaiah said what brings the Lord delight C G F G Is when we choose to live devoted to the aid of those in plight Am Em Am Em And James, the brother of our Lord, this message he did preach: C F G C If we live the way the world does, we become G-D’s enemy.
